Ways to Be Involved at VCC......
Come Connect, Grow and Serve!
There are lots of benefits from being actively involved in your church. Getting to know
people, and serving others gives you a sense of belonging.
You don't need to make a long term committment, help when and where you are able. Perhaps you have handy skills to offer to fix things that are broken or computer/technolody skills. Would you like to help when we have special church cleaning projects or need assitance with setting tables & chairs for a special meeting/activity? Can you assist with fundraising, fairs/yard sales or hospitality? Do you want to share your musical talents from time to time? Sign up with our Talent Bank and let us know how you may lend a hand on an "as needed basis" - no set commitment. Click the link below and let us know how you would like to share your time and talents with your Church.

Being involved can have a very positive impact on your spiritual walk. The following are some committees within our Church you may be interested in.
Church Growth- Members help to promote our Church’s mission and goals. They organize hospitality for Church service and also organize Church social activities to unite our members in fellowship.
Diaconate - This committee coordiantes the work of all related organizations or committees concerned with the worship and spiritual life of the Church. Members coordinate and participate in worship service as greeters, collectors, ensure the sanctuary is set for service, prepare & distribute the elements during worship and precure puplit suppy as needed. They Senior Deacon works closely with the Senior Minister concerning the services of the Church and the spiritual enrichment of the Congregation.
+Missions- God's people are people on a mission. Just as God calls us in love to Himself, so we are called to others in love. We seek to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. In the Village Church this manifests itself in a number of ways:
+We support our local food bank, providing food and gifts.
+ We contribute to The United Church of Christ's Wider Mission and the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ.
+We participate in the Peace of Bread community meal several times throughout the year by preparing and serving at the Peace of Bread Community Kitchen. The Peace of Bread meal is offered weekly, Wednesday evenings at the Presbyterian Church.
+Music Ministry- Music is an integral part of our worship services. Come share your voice and or instrumental talents in worship! "Come let us sing for joy to the Lord”
(Ps. 95:1)
+Sunday School- The Village Congregational Church has an active Sunday School Program. If you are interested in helping out, volunteer positions consist of Lead Teacher, Teacher Assistant, Part time Assistant, Substitute Teacher/ Assistant, and Student Assistant. Music teachers or other teachers with special skills are also greatly appreciated in the VCC Sunday School program. We’d love to have you share your special talents with the children on occasion, in either a classroom setting, or as a larger group.
+Sunday Coffee Hour Host- Volunteer to host a Sunday Coffee Hour. Its fun, its easy, and its a wonderful way to meet fellow members of the Congregation.
+Church Committee - The administrative body of the church, consisting of the Business Manager, church officers, committee chairs, and pastor. The church committee oversees all activities of the officers, committees, organizations and staff of the church.
